Verify Your Town's Google Profile

Step 1

Get ready

Accept the email invite from Google. Tap Accept while signed in to the Gmail you gave RJ.
Open Google Maps on your phone and make sure it's signed in to that same Gmail.
Make your house number easy to see from the road. On the mailbox or an address sign at the driveway.
Have your SALT stuff handy: IV supplies in your car or a bin, plus anything with the SALT logo.
Pick a bright, sunny time, ideally 10am to 3pm.

Step 2

In Google Maps, tap your profile picture, then Your Business Profiles, then SALT. Hydration & Wellness, then Get verified.
Type your home address exactly as it is on your mail. It stays hidden from the public. If an old address is already there, replace it.
If Google offers a live video call, pick it. Otherwise pick Record video.

Step 3

One take, about 1 to 2 minutes. Don't stop recording. No need to talk. Go slow and hold still on anything with words or numbers.

Start at the nearest street sign so the name is readable.
Walk to your house without stopping and end on your house number.
Open your car or supply bin and show your IV supplies and SALT items.
Open the SALT booking app on your phone with no client names showing.
Stop, watch the preview, then submit. If you can't read the sign or house number, record again before submitting.

No street sign nearby? Start at your mailbox with the house number showing. Then slowly turn to show the road and anything nearby: a road or mile marker, a neighbor's mailbox, your gate, a barn. Then walk or drive up your driveway to the house.
Sign is far away? Have someone drive you (or mount your phone) and start recording at the sign. Keep recording the whole way home and end on your house number. A longer video is fine. Never film while you're driving.
Nothing to show at all? Choose the live video call if it's offered. If not, text RJ before you record and he'll help.

Step 4

Text RJ that it's in.
Wait. Google usually answers within 5 business days. Don't send another video and don't change anything on the profile.
Rejected? Screenshot the reason and text RJ. Don't try again on your own and don't make a new profile.
